The last two weekends have each seen a foot of snow dumped on us here in Denver. The slushy streets and dampened sounds have matched my mood and I’ve been settling into the season with some cozy knits.
Socks are the perfect low overhead, immediate gratification project and the scrappy mohair socks pictured above were my companions on the couch for a few wintry mornings. Life has been blissfully slow and my toes are staying toasty.
I also cast on this sweater at the very end of December and it practically knit itself. I used 5mm needles, a plush alpaca/wool blend and rows and rows of squishy cables. It’s been perfect to throw on to watch the snow fall while working from home.
The last project I’ll share with you is a hot water bottle cover in the appropriately named colorway “Frozen Lake“ from a local yarn dyer. This yarn has been in my stash for years and it found its true calling in this quick and comforting FO.
Short and sweet for today team. Thanks for spending time with me. Stay safe a warm out there.
I love all of this!
Aww kitties and cables! My fav!
